Dear World,

You’re looking at our school’s brand new Javelin coach. That’s the one where you throw a long pointy stick as far as you can, right? If I need to know anything more than that in order to teach small children Javelin, please let me know.

Sincerely,

  1. What?! A javelin coach?!?!?! I'd pay SO much money to see that.

  2. Just tell them not to keep their arms straight when they throw it. Seriously.

  3. Hey, don't knock javelin throwing. It might be the way out poverty and more useful than English or IT. Maybe you could train with your learners.

  4. I just found this:

"Young people should never throw the javelin without a qualified coach who is used to young athletes, especially in large groups. They should never throw un-supervised.

Safety is paramount. Every other consideration is secondary. If in doubt, do not throw."
