Dear Nurse who was in charge of giving me a shot and could tell I wasn’t super jazzed about needles,

The first thing you said to me (after you stopped laughing at my “I hate needles” face) was “Don’t worry. I’m very gentle!” That was comforting… for about THREE SECONDS. And then I felt like you stabbed a butter knife into my skin. A butter knife coated with hydrochloric acid. And THAT feeling lasted for about 6 seconds. TWICE AS LONG as your comforting words. For the record, lady, I would NOT consider that shot anywhere CLOSE to gentle. That shit hurt!
