Dear Boy in my class,

You’re a pretty typical 5th grade kid. You play too much in class. You make up excuses for why it was impossible for you to complete your homework. You play soccer during break time. You always come back with orange lips from the popsicle you ate during lunch.

But there’s one thing about you that sets you apart from the rest… You LOVE to read the dictionary! What?! I hate when you have to use the dictionary for your assignments because I know instead of actually using it to finish your work you’re going to spend the rest of the day perusing its pages. You would read the dictionary for hours if I let you. I mean that’s weird right? Most kids don’t enjoy dictionaries, do they?
